ATRIUM has advised Skamol in relation with the sale of its activities within products for fire protection. Skamol was owned by Polaris Private Equity.
The fire protection products are used in the marine and off-shore sectors and have been developed in co-operation between Skamol and NCM Core.
The sale was motivated by Skamol’s wish to focus on high temperature insulation for the aluminum, steel and concrete industry as well as insulation materials for domestic fireplaces and stoves. The new business is named LiteCore.
