Financial and strategic advisor to Advent International in the acquisition of Færch Plast

ATRIUM has acted as financial and strategic advisor to Advent International in the acquisition of Færch Plast from the private equity fund EQT.

Founded in Holstebro in 1969, Færch Plast is a leading manufacturer of plastic trays for the food industry and employs 1,100 people. Færch Plast has six factories throughout Europe located in Holstebro, Denmark; Durham, Poole and Sutton, UK; Buñol, Spain and Liberec, the Czech Republic. In 2016, Færch Plast generated revenue of DKK 2.1 billion and an EBITDA of DKK 524 million.

Advent International is one of the largest private equity funds in the world, and is in Denmark known for among others its ownership of Nets.

ATRIUM leveraged its long track record with Færch Plast, achieved through a close collaboration with the Færch family in the period from 2003 and until the sale to EQT in 2014, to assist Advent in the acquisition of Færch Plast. ATRIUM has among others assisted in setting up the advisory team, gathering local intelligence, and evaluating the company and its strategy going forward, including future opportunities in the food packaging industry.
